DRAFT If you don’t have ID

If a young person doesn’t have any accepted photo ID, they can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate.

To apply, they will need:

• A recent photo of themselves
• Their date of birth and National Insurance number
• To be registered to vote first
  They can apply online at: **gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate **

It’s important to apply in plenty of time before the election – late applications won’t be accepted. See the next section for the deadline.
