Postal votes

• You can apply to vote by post if you know you’ll be away or unable to get to the polling station
• Your ballot paper will be sent to you in advance, and you post it back
• You must apply by a set deadline – usually 11 working days before the election

Voting by Proxy

• You can ask someone you trust to vote on your behalf at your polling station
• They’ll need to be registered and will vote in your name
• This is useful if you're unwell, away on the day, or have other access needs
• The deadline to apply is usually 6 working days before the election
