DRAFT Voter ID – what you need to know
To vote in person in England, or in UK-wide elections held in Scotland and Wales (like general elections), voters must now show an accepted form of photo ID.
This includes:
- UK passport or driving licence (including provisional licences)
- A PASS card (Proof of Age Standards Scheme)
- Blue Badge, Older Person’s Bus Pass, Oyster 60+ card and other government-issued ID
The ID can be expired – as long as the photo still looks like the voter
You only need to show one form of ID, and it must be the original version (no photocopies).
Thank you! Your submission has been received!
