Q1. Which of these is a valid reason to vote by proxy?
Q2. What should you do if you don’t have an accepted form of photo ID but want to vote in person?
Q3. Which of the following is NOT an accepted form of voter ID in England?
You can apply to vote by proxy if you can’t get to your polling station due to travel, illness, or work. Your proxy votes on your behalf at your local polling station.
If you don’t have an accepted form of photo ID, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate before the deadline. If you turn up on polling day without either, you won’t be allowed to vote in person.
Only certain official photo IDs are accepted at polling stations – this includes passports, driving licences and PASS cards. College or university IDs are not currently accepted forms of voter ID.
