Digital Dialogue

Lessons, workshops, schemes of work and other materials to help you deliver Digital Dialogue.

Introduction
Welcome to the programme page for Digital Dialogue. Here you can find learning resources and support materials needed to deliver the Digital Dialogue programme.

Delivering the programme
Our Lessons and workshops will help you prepare your students for their dialogue session.
The schemes of work compile lessons and workshops around a particular theme and cohort of student.

A quick note on lesson and workshop 'learning phases'
Most lessons and workshops are assigned one of the following learning phases:

  • Explore - fun, interactive activities designed to engage learners at the beginning of their democratic education.
  • Understand - helps students understand the role of the politician they are going to speak to and the level of government they are from.
  • Prepare - supports students to research the politician they are going to speak to and prepare questions to ask.
We recommend preparing your students over three lessons / workshops - start with Explore to engage them in the topic, follow up with Understand so students grasp the role, responsibilities and powers of the politician they are going to speak to, and finish with Prepare so they go into the dialogue with relevant, interesting questions.
Though of course it is up to you to decide how best to prepare your learners!

Evaluation
Evaluation forms to measure the impact of the programme on your students can be found in the Guidance and Evaluation section below.
The pre-programme evaluation should be completed by students before they start any preparatory lessons/workshops.
The post-programme evaluation should be completed by students after they have completed their last dialogue session of the programme.
