Welcome to the programme page for Host a Hustings Cymru resources. Here you can access support materials to help your plan and deliver a youth hustings, as well as lesson and workshops to prepare your young people to take part. The lessons and workshops are available in both English and Welsh.

Delivering the programme
The lessons and workshops are assigned one of the following learning phases:
Explore - fun, interactive activities designed to engage learners at the beginning of their democratic education.
Understand - helps learners understand what the election is for and what level of government the candidates are standing for.
Prepare - supports learners to research the candidates and political parties they are going to speak to and to prepare questions to ask.
We recommend preparing your learners over three lessons / workshops - start with Explore to engage them in the election, follow up with Understand so learners grasp what the election is for, and finish with Prepare so they go into the hustings with questions about issues that are relevant and important to them.
Though of course it is up to you to decide how best to prepare your learners!
