Gary Sambrook MP explores extra-curricular activities available for young people

On 9th March 2021, South and City College Birmingham Year 12 students took part in a Digital Surgery with Gary Sambrook, MP for Birmingham Northfield. The students explained that if they want to take part in leisure activities that are age-appropriate, they have to travel extremely far to access them. Gary said he would investigate this on their behalf.

Since then, he has spoken to local headteachers in Northfield about football facilities that South and City College students could be able to use. Furthermore, he will be visiting The Hayes Playing fields to see how this can be “opened up more to young people that live locally.”
